This is a huge week for one of golf’s future superstars. Danny Lee will be making his professional debut this week in New Orleans, but by no means does that mean he will be playing like it’s his first event. He’s played in multiple PGA Tour tournaments, including this years Masters tournament, which [...]

Okay, I’m going to cut right to the chase here. This was an awful week for the young fellas, so let’s do a quick recap and put this week where it belongs – in the past. Before I get to the guys that struggled this week, though, how about we look at the few [...]

Three To Watch: Verizon Heritage
Posted on 15. Apr, 2009 by H. Freeman.
Out of all the Baby Boomers playing this week, I’m going to show you three to look out for. These picks are not the product of some scientific equation or anything, they’re just based on basic info and pure gut instinct. Also, these are not necessarily picks to win the tournament, but picks predicting which [...]

Under Armour Golf

When you think of Under Armour, the first thing that comes to mind is probably the humongous manikins they use to display their clothes in your local Dick’s Sporting Goods store. If you’ve never seen one of these beastly manikins, they are about 6′8″, 265 lbs, with 0% body fat. They are freaks [...]

Monday Morning Caddy – Masters Edition
Posted on 12. Apr, 2009 by H. Freeman.
Everything is always perfect at the Masters. I mean, I know that the authorities of Augusta National have a lot of power in the area, but do they even have a contract with Mother Nature? It seems like every Sunday at the Masters has perfect spring weather, which is one of many things that [...]

The Masters – Who’s Still Alive
Posted on 11. Apr, 2009 by H. Freeman.
Wow, what an eventful first couple of days at the Masters for the Baby Boomers. Dustin Johnson had six birdies in the first round, but managed only an even par 72. Friday, Anthony Kim set an all time masters record with eleven birdies. Eleven birdies? Really AK? After many ups and downs [...]

The Masters – Inside The BBs
Posted on 08. Apr, 2009 by H. Freeman.
Out of all the Baby Boomers playing in the Masters this week, here are a few definitely worth watching. As the loyal GolfDiggers know, I usually only pick three BBs each week. The Masters is not a normal week, though, so the picks don’t have to be either.
Not sure if you’ve heard [...]

The Masters – Par 3 Contest
Posted on 07. Apr, 2009 by H. Freeman.
Another aspect of the Masters that makes it unique from any other tournament is the Wednesday afternoon Par 3 Contest. A lot of people don’t know this, but no one has ever won the Par 3 Contest and then gone on to win the real tournament as well.
As you’ll see in the video below, players leading the contest on the final hole will purposely hit it into the water, let a fan play for them (automatic disqualification), or just skip the final hole all together so that they do not post an official score. So the players go out and have a great time, all the while purposely trying to not win. See that and other cool parts of the Par 3 Contest in the video below.

The Masters – What Makes It So Great
Posted on 06. Apr, 2009 by H. Freeman.
A tradition unlike any other, the Masters. To kick off Masters week, I wanted to give you some reasons why I think the Masters is such a special golf tournament. If you’ve never been to Augusta National, it’s the most recognizable course in the world and is definitely something you must make happen before [...]

WATCH THIS VIDEO

Just to get your Masters juices flowing a little bit, watch this video of Tiger on the 16th green in the final round of the 2005 Masters tournament. He went on to win in dramatic fashion, this being the shot that made the biggest impact. All I can say is that I get goosebumps and go speechless every time I see this video. WOW!
